Best PLAY Space Practices (Dress code, Food policies and more):

Help! I am running late? What happens now?


PLAY Kids remote learning program dismisses at 2 PM. Caregivers should arrive 15 minutes prior. PLAY / LFBK reserves the right to charge a late fee of $15 per 15 minutes after scheduled dismissal time.




What is the PLAY Remote Learning refund policy?


Full refunds are available up to two weeks before the start of the semester. Between two weeks and the start of the given semester, a 50% refund is available. Refund conditions are based upon enrollment, not attendance. Refunds or a proration cannot be granted for absences due to illness or vacation. Refunds will be considered in the case of overpayments or fees paid after the cancellation notice (please allow two weeks). There will be no refund in the event that your child is suspended or discharged from the program. 50% of refund is returned to original form of payment, remaining percentage is issued in the form of PLAY Kids credit. Credit valid for up to 3 months. Should Play Kids facility need to remain closed in accordance with state and federal guidelines, future sessions will be rescheduled. The current monthly payment will be issued as a credited gift card. The gift card credit will be estimated according to the days of closure.




Registration timing: When can I register? How early? How late? Deadlines for payment, documentations, more…?


You may choose one day or up to five days a week. You can register for single sessions or commit to 10 drop off sessions monthly.
WE WILL ONLY ACCEPT REGISTRATIONS MADE IN ADVANCE (at least 7 days in advance for the upcoming week).




I want to upgrade to the After School program: Is it an option?


Sure thing! Simply contact us or just check our website for programs available currently.




Does PLAY offer any sibling pro-rated options? Gift Certificates? Ongoing or one-time discounts, deals and specials?

What equipment is required for Remote Learning?


We require that children will bring their laptops/tablets, chargers, headphones, list of logins/passwords as well as remote learning school instructions.

Teacher/Parent Communication

How can I contact my child’s teacher? Will I receive updates from teaching staff?


You can contact any teacher, administrative or executive staff by calling or emailing the school. Education and enrichment educators do send periodic updates via email to families. Also, the school as a whole also sends news and noteworthy e-Newsletters. Parents are welcome to reach out independently as well - whatever the issue, ask, or concern we are open.




How is feedback offered? Shared or heard? End of semester check-ins?


Those who seek to offer feedback and updates on and for specific reasons not addressed in general communication are invited to call or email the school, and/or arrive early for possible short discussion with staff. For longer conversations, calling or emailing to set a focused time is optimal. We treasure your input.




What will my child learn at PLAY Kids?


Two answers here:

  1. Fitness, Dance, Robotics, Music, Visual Art and French
  2. Life skills like mindfulness, cooperation, listening, self-awareness, sharing and compromise, kindness, communication, community conscious and infinitely more.
PLAY Kids staff and leadership hold a long, successful track record for quality enrichment focused, academically enhancing education and classes, as well as teaming with parents and families to raise generations of warm, confident, happy kids.

Test-prep box checking is NOT what we do: we enhance, support, and build creative thinkers, stellar students, and well rounded JR global citizens.




Is homework time factored into the daily schedule?


Ah homework - that “laundry of the school day” a necessary, effective weekly “chore” that too often receives a bad rep. Never fear - PLAY’s monitored homework time for older children reframes independent style and reduces the tired late night stress of combing through handouts at the dinner table. After snacks and enrichment classes - students in the afterschool enrichment program can commit to quiet school work before returning to the PLAY space.
Assistance with French devoirs (aka Homework)? Just say “s'il vous plaît”! Francophone help is in the HOUSE!




How is discipline addressed?


Each and every member of our PLAY Kids community is equally responsible for upholding PLAY standards of a safe, respectful, and welcoming environment. Though there are rules and a daily schedule at our school - enforcement is less a focus then a commitment to uphold and participate in a flow of the day and positive peer interaction. PLAY teaches students in a wide variety of enrichment offerings - dance, robotics, fitness, literature, drama, and more - as well as socially conscious life skills such as kindness, listening, and cooperation. In the event that there is a cause for an occurrence or pattern to be addressed - PLAY staff shall do so in a manner that mirrors the inclusive and communicative atmosphere we teach our students. Parents are invited to participate in the cohesion of our school. Each of us learning, growing, and improving together.
